In 1979, Ed Redman found himself faced with the classic choice between career and quality of life. Having been transferred to Morganton, NC by Inmont in 1972, he was being reassigned to the company’s Chicago operations. However, he had fallen in love with the area, and envisioned it as a perfect place to raise a family and enjoy the outdoors.
